Dish Liquid January 6, 2009 Great product. Suds up well and cleans great AND it's good for the planet. Another fantastic 7th Generation product!!
Can't Tell The Difference January 4, 2009 Let me just start out by saying that I was not expecting much from this dishwashing liquid. This is the first Seventh Generation product I have purchased after seeing their products in several stores and always feeling a bit curious. I was using Dawn and was perfectly happy with it, but recently I have been on a "green" binge and decided to try biodegradable laundry detergent and dish soap. I read reviews that said this dish liquid doesn't suds up like Dawn or Palmolive, and that it doesn't cut through the grease and leave the dishes as clean. I have to disagree.
I have always been a person who uses "too much" soap when washing dishes, so I may use more than is necessary, but I found that the dish liquid had just as many bubbles, if not more, than Dawn. I love the scent, it is nice and doesn't smell fake or chemical like some of the regular brands. I compared a glass I washed with Dawn and a glass I washed with Seventh Generation, and they looked the same. I couldn't tell the difference! I even asked my husband to give his opinion about the amount of suds in the sink compared to Dawn, and he said it looked like there were more bubbles than normal. I use gloves, so I can't comment on how soft my hands were after using it. It is much cheaper on Amazon if you subscribe and save, since I paid over four dollars for it at my local health food store. Bottom line is that I like it and I will continue to buy it.
great liquid soap January 4, 2009 I love this product. Smells nice, cleans dishes, doesn't dry your hands, and doesn't contain nasty chemicals that are harmful to you or environment. The trick here is you have to get the water you are cleaning with full of suds--the suds are what wash away bacteria and food particles on dishes, etc. This soap doesn't lather up as fast as most others on the market so you do use a TAD bit more but it cleans all my dishes really well and I don't have to worry about harmful things like antibacterial ingredients such as triclosan that are everywhere and I know that what is going down my drain is biodegradable. Yay.
Not as good as palmolive or another name brand. December 29, 2008 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
While I like some of the other Seventh Generation items, this is not one of them. It does not get the grease out, nor make the glasses clean and clear. Spend the extra and get a regular brand.
Sent the wrong item December 26, 2008 0 out of 3 found this review helpful
I clearly ordered the free and clear dish liquid and was sent the Lavender, Floral, & Mint. This is not the first time this has happened. I order the free for a reason, I do not want the scent of the other and I do not appreciate not receiving what I ordered. Yes, I can return it, but it is a huge inconvenience to do so.
