I LOVE THIS PANCAKE MIX November 12, 2008 This is the best, healthy pancake mix ever. It passed the family test and even family members that are not to keen on knowing they are eating healthy with the mind set of it tasting less of what they are used to. I love the fluffiness of the pancakes and I use the vanilla flavor soy milk. I recommend these to anyone.
Great taste September 19, 2008 My son is allergic to eggs and he loves these pancakes. I love the whole Cherrybrook Kitchen line of foods. The cupcakes are especially good!
Very hard to clean up batter April 27, 2008 I was very happy at first with this product. I made waffles with it in a waffle iron; the batter was easy to make and pour. The waffles cooked up easily, and they tasted even better than I'd hoped. They are so good that they taste great without even pouring on the syrup, though they are even better with syrup on them. So what's the problem? The uncooked batter hardened almost like cement. Maybe that's normal with any ready-to-make batter, but I had not noticed this before with similar products. Cleaning up counter-tops afterward was a real struggle (once the batter had dried/hardend on them), I had to scour endlessly to get every last bit off. And using the dishwasher, I seemed to find that bits of batter would stick to drinking glasses (just being washed in the same load with the measuring cup) and leave distinct hardened flakes that had to be scoured off with a brillo pad, even after they finished "cleaning" in the dishwasher. At least that's what I assume it was, because I hadn't had these hardened spots on the glasses until I washed them with the batter-laden measuring cup. Plus I had to scour my kitchen sink and water spout mightily to get off all the hardened batter. I decided after these experiences to throw out the remaining packs of product, unused (in the outgoing trash, absolutely not down the sink!). So I paid for 8 packs and used only one. I suggest that anyone interested in this product try one pack first, possibly ordering just one from the company itself, to see if you like everything about it (including the clean up). Then get the 8 packs if you are satisfied. I really wanted to like this, and it is a good price and all that. But the batter hardening factor was a deal-breaker for me. Your milage may vary.
Wonderful! April 1, 2008 The allergic family member doesn't like it - but the rest of us think it's fabulous! Vanilla flavor is pronounced.
These are THE best pancakes!!! December 10, 2006 I have no food allergies yet prefer this "alternative" recipe for a few reasons. First, when you cook these pancakes the batter pours out thick, not runny like traditional supermarket pancake mixes. Second, despite this thick batter, these pancakes cook perfectly - right through to the center. Third, I think this company is doing something good for the U.S.: improving our culinary standards; because when you try these pancakes, you will never want to settle for the traditional yet inferior supermarket mixes. In sum, all pancakes should taste like Cherrybrook kitchen's pancakes: fluffy, rich, and not too sweet. Thank You Cherrybrook.
