Customer Reviews:
My daughter loves the weight and convienience December 21, 2008 I bought these for those few times I need eggs for a recipe and ran out of 'real' eggs and for any emergency situation. I gave one can to my adult daughter and she LOVED them and wanted more! No waiting for emergencies for her...but the light weight and ease of a non refrigerated egg product sold her and she uses this product full time.
Great for Christmas Cookies December 20, 2008 The Deb-El whole eggs taste fine in my Christmas cookies this year. This is the first time in years that I've used powdered eggs to bake with. The taste of the finished cookies was comparable to the product made with fresh eggs. They are expensive but I quickly run out of refrigerator room during holiday baking season and this seems like a good solution.
I often use something besides water to reconstitute them which gives the cookies a better flavor. For example, I make a triple cholcolate cookie which calls for instant coffee - which I don't keep in the house. I used brewed coffee instead of water with the egg powder and the cookie flavor was great!
I did try using them in scrambled eggs for breakfast and was not impressed with the results.
PRICE RAISE!!! March 22, 2008 7 out of 7 found this review helpful
I was pleased to be able to keep these on hand for baking and other cooking purposes so I subscribed to them monthly. I am aware that the cost of food items has gone up recently but I was shocked to see that they had gone from 26.00 the first month to 53.00 the second month. Needless to say I stopped my subscription after they were sent automatically (per my request of course) but I did not notice the price raise until after I had received them. Product is fair but way way to pricey now for the results.
