 Wrong stethescope was listed January 10, 2009
When I ordered the stethescope it was listed as 3M Littmann Classic II S.E lightweight stethoscope. I thought I was ordering the Littmann Classic II. I turned out to be an error in their product name and I was actually ordering the Littmann lightweight S.E. I notified the company and was given an apology for the error. I sent the item back and received a full refund minus the return shipping fee. I was satisified with the transaction.

I think the seller is playing dirty on the "on sale" pricing. I checked other sellers, and felt cheated. I will never believe/buy anything of "on sale" by this seller. They are liar.

I GUESS I AM NOW PARTIAL TO THE LITTMAN CARDIOLOGY III. EVEN THOUGH THIS IS A LITTMAN IT IS LIGHTWEIGHT. ITS AN OK STETH. COMPARED TO THE CARDIOLOGY IT IS SO=SO.
Good stethoscope for the money December 21, 2008
This basic Littman is good. I acquired it because my cheap $10.00 Prestige just wasn't cutting it when I went to do vital signs on older adult patients. Sounds come in much clearer and louder on this device. Very professional-looking as well. Definitely worth the price to get a genuine Littman. They also have ID tags that can be ordered to make it difficult for the nice, expensive tool to "walk away."

Very good acoustics. If it lasts as long as my previous Littman (11 years) I will be very happy. Only problem is that the headpiece is heavier than the rest of the stethoscope so it tends to slide down towards the heavier end (head piece) if worn around the shoulders.
