Product Description
SODIMMs get their name because they are smaller and thinner than regular DIMMs. A Small Outline Dual Inline Memory Module (SODIMM) consists of a number of memory components that are attached to a printed circuit board. The gold pins on the bottom of the SODIMM provide a connection between the module and a socket on a larger printed circuit board.

Essential Equipment January 8, 2009
If you buy a Samsung N-10, you have to have this little bugger. It takes a novice only 1 minute to install and really speeds up the system.

It's a good buy at a good price. I had 1.5 GB of RAM and wanted to upgrade to 3GB so I brought 2GB RAM. I installed it and it starts Vista up faster along with other apps I love to play(games) on my laptop. But for some reason when I play a game for about 30 minutes ti starts to get choppy..and this started ever since I installed the 2GB RAM(and nothing else). So I don't know if it's the RAM or if it's a virus..but overall the Product is a good price...and it's kinda hard to find 2GB on 1 chip...most of the time it's a set of two 1 GB Ram chips.

Installs easily in the Eee PC, and updating the bios is even easier. Just follow simple instructions.

I ordered this as an upgrade for my new ASUS EEE. It couldn't have been a more perfect purchase.
I received it in less than a week, at Christmastime nonetheless!
I popped out the 1 gig, popped in the 2 gig, rebooted, it was recognized and that was it!
I will definitely order from Crucial again. I especially like their online tutorial that lets you know what product to buy by analyzing your computer. This is definitely helpful and gives you peace of mind that you are ordering the right thing.
And you certainly can't beat the price!

OK, how much did this help? Who knows but my new little NC10 needed a Christmas present! And this was one of several. I ordered direct from Crucial which also included a free bonus USB memory stick with 2 day shipping for about $30.00. Installation took less than 3 minutes and I had never done this before! Also, after booting I checked and it was recognized without a hitch. How on Earth can you beat all this for $30.00 and mine states "MADE IN USA". THAT ALONE IS REASON ENOUGH FOR ME TO PICK THIS BRAND......
