Customer Reviews:
Disappointed December 12, 2008 Installed this to use with my D-Link DGL-4500 (Wireless N Draft 20 Router and the connection fluctuated between 24 and 56 Mbps continuously, and only connected in G protocol. Even worse, it continuously dropped the connection, even though I used the latest software from Trendnet. I got 120 Mbps by disabling the connection software and letting Windows XP manage the connection. My laptop gets 300 Mbps consistently at the same distance and location with a D-Link: "DWA-652 Xtreme N Notebook Adapter". I think I am going to try the D-link: DWA-556 or DWA-552 and see if I can do better. In the meantime, I will revert back to my LinkSys Wireless-G (WMP54GS) PCI adapter which connects solidly at 54Mbps and Never dropped out on me. I had hoped for a bargain wireless N connection, but I am returning this one.
Dissapointed December 5, 2008 Recently put a TRENDnet TEW631BRP Router in. All 5 of my home computers get Very Good to Excellent signals and connect at a solid 54 Mbps using G adapters. Hoping to gain the full potential of the N router on my main computer I installed the TEW-643PI, and was unable to connect at a solid 54 Mbps or faster. The Signal strength was excellent, the software installation went well, however the speed fluctuated between 24 and 56 continuously. The adapter settings were minimal and did not allow for selecting a speed. NEXT!
great card September 29, 2008 got a linksys n160 router getting 2 bars on basement computor installed trendware 5 bars good manual easy install
