The best performance/price ratio probablly June 7, 2008

Paired with a Gigabyte EP35-DS3L motherboard and OCZ RAM.
Very fast, very reliable, and very cool. In the same case, same cooler (had to change retention mechanism obviously) same room, etc., it's around 6C cooler than the AMD X2 processor it replaced on idle, and 10C cooler on load. Not to mention a lot faster. The difference is bigger than what I would've expected.
