5 out of 5 stars I can't get a better deal till April   December 14, 2008
0 out of 3 found this review helpful

I been running 1G of Ram at 90% just surfing. So I finally decided to order some 2x 1024 Crucial memory. But I also have a new 24" monitor with DVI input cause my 5 year old 18" burned out 2 weeks ago. 18" lol, they didn't have 19" 5 years ago for less that $500. Anyway So right now I'm running the AVG on the monitor and it keeps saying analog digital then goes analog. also and my 5y old 3DForce 6200-256 don't have DVI. So since I got the memory updated to 2G I wanted to order a PCI Express video card cause my 5 year old MSI K8N Neo3 has one. And I want to hook up the DVI on my monitor. So I seen some PCIE video cards for less than $100 so I'm game for this update to a 5 year old 8018-B3 Alien that still is cooler looking than the other cases. So I check this card out and found it for $44 and $2 shipping now at compusa and $39 at tigerdirect. But they sold out today at tiger.
Bottom line. If this card holds out and gives me digital monitor till April. Then I'm going to build another computer with a 9950 CPU,Vista Ultimate 64 W SP2, etc. I just don't know the right motherboard. It changes day to day. I pretty sure it going to be another MSI, this time Platinum mobo. I got 5 years out of this one and it still not completely outdated yet. And the dust on the CPU clogs the heat sink fins so bad you can't see them. Ah when I get the RAM and the GeForce 8500 GT I'll air hose it all out. $44 plus $2 shipping to the door and I got a 10 foot DVI Ultra cable for $20 The DDR 400 RAM cost $80. I better be able to see the difference.

What gets me is a floppy disc drive for a Tandy computer cost $499 if you wanted to get rid of your cassette player memory. And you really thought you had something then to, right? $499 then is like $3000 now to.

5 out of 5 stars very satisfied customer   December 9, 2008
ordered, recieved, installed, works great.[ had intergrated video]. everything very easy and no hassels.just what i like. thanks.

5 out of 5 stars great price , big heatsink no noise - 500mhz not 450 like the descrp   December 3, 2008
This card is 500mhz core clock , the description for some reason says 450mhz...
The card has a big heat sink and no fan which is great for keeping the computer quiet.

Price point is great , its a directx 10 Vista compatible card. May not be a gamer card but if your not building a gamer rig and just need a pc that vista happy and still is great for video use then its hard to beat the price point of the card.

4 out of 5 stars addressed what I wanted   November 24, 2008
I'm not a gamer -- my old video card was just very loud. This one works fine for business use (dual monitor) and is quiet.

1 out of 5 stars not a good gaming card   October 13, 2008
if you plan on running on anything bigger than a 17" monitor, this card is not for you. Runs very hot, and not worth the money to buy 2 and sli when you could spend a little extra for the 8800gts which is a 10x better card.
